Midweek Fixtures

The big boys are back in the Carabao Cup but even though they have been handed easy matches, it promises to be exciting. 

On Tuesday, September 19, Leicester City plays hosts to Liverpool who are in need of a morale boosting win at the King power stadium. At the Capital, Tottenham Hotspur play hosts to Championship strugglers Barnsley at Wembley. On Wednesday, September 20, Arsenal fresh from a creditable draw at Stamford Bridge will play hosts to Doncaster Rovers at the Emirates while the Premier League Champions will play host to Nottingham Forest. Up north, Everton, fresh from a 4 nil drubbing at the hands of Manchester United, play host to Sunderland at Goodison Park. Manchester United, the defending Champions of the Carabao Cup play host to Burton Albion at Old Trafford. Meanwhile their next door neighbors go to the Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion.

In La Liga, Messi and Barcelona play host to Eibar on September 19 while Real Madrid face off with Real Betis at the Bernabeau. Athletic Bilbao play host to Simeone’s Athletic Madrid at the new san mames which promises to be a fantastic match. Both Madrid matches will take place on September 20.

Over in Italy, Bologna host Inter Milan on September 19. On September 20, Benevento Host’s Roma, while new comers SPAL faces a tough trip to San Siro to face Moneybags, AC Milan. Juventus renew their rivalry with Fiorentina at the Juventus stadium. Match of the round sees SSC Napoli traveling to the Capital to face SC Lazio at the Stadio Olympico. 

In Germany, Hamburger SV play host to Bundesliga leaders BVB Dortmund on September 20 while Champions, Bayern Munich, go away to Schalke on 19th. Augsburg faces a tough test against Runners up, RB Leipzig on the same day.
